Looking up Pine to the Owl Saloon and the Nevada County Courthouse. Local justice has been dispensed in this courthouse since 1855. The original courthouse burned in 1856. It was rebuilt in 1864 and remodeled in 1937. The Courthouse Annex was added in 1964.
